Introduction
The few species in this order have a broad limpet-like shell perched on top of the visceral mass, and a large pinnate gill projecting into the right-hand space between shell and foot. All the species are grazers on sponge tissue. Compiled from Burn (in press).

Introduction
Shell thick, solid, flattened, with thin periostracum present in places, often with attached massive growths. Animal large, high, tuberculate all over, with short tail and deep anterior groove wherein lie the rhinophores, oral tentacles and reproductive openings. Introduction
Shell thin and fragile, covered by a thick ribbed or thatch-like periostracum. Animal large, elongate, smooth, with long rounded tail, and large basally swollen laterally grooved rhinophores, enrolled oral tentacles, gill on right side, and invariably bright yellow in life.
