Adult: volant.

Larva: aquatic, predator.

Extra Ecological Information

Adult common biting in jungle; most larvae recorded from the pitchers of Nepenthes spp. [Nepenthaceae] but also found in rot holes in trees, tree holes, plant axils, bamboos, in Colocasia sp. [Araceae] and in pure culture in bamboos; larvae have been reported to kill other mosquito larvae.
