Type species:
Macrostomum miraculicis Schmidt & Sopott-Ehlers, 1976 by original designation.
Introduction
Brand et al. (2022) suggests that the Bradburia is a poorly supported genus based on diagnostic traits, and that future genetic analyses may well reveal that its two species, B. miraculicis and B. australiensis, resolve well within Macrostomum.

Introduction
Recent large-scale phylogenomic analyses conducted by Brand et al. (2022) have identified several consistent taxonomic clades, but the interrelationships within some of these clades is not clear; the lack of clarity is attributed possibly to early rapid radiation in the evolution of the genus. The analyses also reported on a range of novel morphological traits, as well as a large cryptic diversity within the genus, with the recommendation that future work should always include molecular markers.
