Introduction

Laevidelos is distinguished by the small-sized, shiny, almost smooth shell with a very wide cup-shaped umbilicus. It differs from Pseudechotrida by being more evenly coiled without a noticeably flared body whorl and in having much reduced sculpture.

Diagnosis

Shell small, subdiscoidal, with flat to low domed spire; protoconch shiny, with weak radial growth ridges, teleoconch sculpture of weak curved radial ribs and very weak spiral striae above, weak discontinuous spiral striae below; umbilicus extremely wide, cup-shaped. Colour creamy-yellow.

Diagnosis

Shell small, creamy-yellow, subdiscoidal, with flat to low domed spire; protoconch shiny, with weak radial growth ridges, teleoconch with weak curved radial ribs and very weak spiral striae above, weak discontinuous spiral striae below, umbilicus extremely wide, cup-shaped; diameter 7.0mm.
