Family EREMAEOZETIDAE Piffl, 1972

Introduction
The family Eremaeozetidae includes four genera and about 50 species, which occur in the Oriental, Ethiopean, Neotropical, and Oceanic Regions (Norton & Behan-Pelletier 2009; Schatz et al. 2011). Various species occur in moss, suspended soil, and organic litter in tropical forests, as well as some arid habitats. The family is known from Australia on the basis of several undescribed species of Eremaeozetes, as reported by Moulton (1982), Lee (1986), Hunt et al. (1998), Colloff & Halliday (1998), Kinnear & Tongway (2004), Adolphson & Kinnear (2008), Callan et al. (2011) and Majer et al. (2013). The most important recent taxonomic study of the family was by Colloff (2012), who reviewed the systematics and biogeography of the family, with special emphasis on the southwest Pacific and Australian regions.

Introduction
In addition to the named species listed here, the genus Eremaeozetes is known from Australia on the basis of several undescribed species, as reported by Moulton (1982), Lee (1986), Hunt et al. (1998), Colloff & Halliday (1998), Kinnear & Tongway (2004), Osler & Murphy (2005), and Adolphson & Kinnear (2008).
