Indo-west Pacific. Wilson (1993) considers the range to be Port Hedland, WA, around northern Australia to Maroubra, NSW. The Maroubra, NSW, record is here considered an individual of Emarginula bajula. The range in the AMS collection is Torres Strat, QLD (C.29246) southwards to Moreton bay, QLD (C.24587); also Coral Sea region 18 (C.325993).
