Introduction

Psilota rubra Klocker, 1924: 53 is a species with a red abdomen known from the holotype female (type locality: Brisbane) and series of specimens determined by the original author. It is a possible synonym of P. cuprea, but the species complex requires further revisionary work (Young et al. 2020).
