Genus Dascalina Melichar, 1902

Introduction

This endemic genus currently contains four described species, all recorded from the tropical regions of the country from Western Australia to Queensland. The identities of the four species is not clearly established with one species based on females and illustrations provided by Medler (1986) of male genitalia of the other three species not providing sufficient detail to clearly differentiate the species. Records of the genus from SE Queensland, and New South Wales need to be examined as part of a revision of the genus to determine whether these are southern extensions of one of the known species or an additional species.
