Introduction

This species is instantly recognisable by the narrow, apically rounded tegmina which are bright green with a wriggly pale stripe down the centre. It was described from Adelaide, South Australia but has also been collected near Roma in the South Brigalow Belt of Queensland. It may be widespread across inland Australia.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

Körper und Deckflügel hellgrün. Die Kiele des Pronotum und des Schildchens weisslich, die Schildchenspitze roth. Deckflügel mit einer zackigen weisslichen Längsbinde in der Mitte des Corium. Die Clavusecke und ein kleiner undeutlicher Wisch am Apicalrande hinter der Clavusspitze röthlich. Die hintere Hälfte des n. clavi ext. weisslich. Flügel milchweiss, mit weissen Nerven. Hinterleib gelblichgrün, die Segmente zusammengeschoben, am Rücken einen aufrecht stehenden Fortsatz bildend. Beine gelblichgrün. ♂♀ Länge 8 mm, Spannweite der Deckflügel 15 mm (Melichar 1902).
