The name "Eriachne melicacea var. fragrans" was only provisionally proposed by F.M.Bailey, Queensland Agric. J. 27: 69 (1911), for the Queensland "form" of Eriachne melicacea. The name "Eriachne melicacea f. fragrans Bailey" and the corresponding autonym "Eriachne fragrans F.Muell. f. fragrans" listed by A.D.Chapman, Austral. Pl. Name Index 1160 (1991), should therefore be disregarded.
