Both Ochrosia moorei (F.Muell.) F.Muell. ex Benth. and Ochrosia moorei (F.Muell.) Miq. were published towards the end of 1868, and is not clear which has priority. Traditionally the name is attributed to (F.Muell.) F.Muell. ex Benth.
