The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. APC Comment:An Old World taxon now referred to Cymbopogon nardus (L.) Rendle. Listed by E.Hackel, Monogr. Phan. 6: 601 (1883) and K.Domin, Biblioth. Bot. 20(85): 264 (1915), and in synonymy of Andropogon schoenanthus L. by F. von Mueller, Syst. Census Austral. Pl. Suppl. 2: 4 (1885), but not known to occur in Australia.
