Australian Plant Name Index (APNI)
The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. For a listing of currently accepted scientific names for the Australian vascular flora, please use the Australian Plant Census (APC) link above.

Type:"at Urunu, Vanapa Valley, Central Division, 16 Aug. 1933,
L.J.Brass 4971 (lecto: BM 001048132*; isolecto:
BRI AQ0024695!, MICH 1190191*, NY 00127915*"
Text:Christensen (1937) cited a single gathering without designating a herbarium. White and Turner (1988, p. 93) cited the type of the name Culcita villosa as ‘type: New Guinea, Urunu, Vanapa Valley, 1900 m, Brass 4791 (BM; isotypes US!, GH!)’. This is here treated as effective lectotypification by White and Turner of the BM specimen, which is annotated ‘n. sp.’ presumably in Christensen’s hand, in accordance with ICN Art. 7.11 (Turland et al. 2018).
