The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. Comment:nom. inval. under ICN Art. 36.1(a) (Melbourne Code, 2012), as the name was not accepted by its author. Brown indicates in an addendum on pp. 591-592 that this species should be treated in the genus Renealmia R.Br.
