The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. For a listing of currently accepted scientific names for the Australian vascular flora, please use the Australian Plant Census (APC) link above.
Showing Aeollanthus cameronii
Type: "British Central Africa: Shiri Highlands, Namasi, K.J. Cameron, 18."
Comment: Obviously recorded as Australian by error in Index Kewensis where the author is given as S.Moore, who was the author of the previous article in J. Linn. Soc., Bot. Vol. 34 (an article on Australian plants), and this probably gave rise to the error.
APC Comment: An African taxon erroneously recorded for Australia W.D.Jackson, Index Kew. 4 (1904).
