The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. For a listing of currently accepted scientific names for the Australian vascular flora, please use the Australian Plant Census (APC) link above.
Showing Cheilanthes tenuifolia subsp. queenslandica
-
Type: "N.E.-Queensland: bei dem Bache im Eukalyptus-Walde in der Nähe des Cape False bei Yarraba, nicht weit von dem Meeresufer, DOMIN 1910."
-
Comment: Alternative name to Cheilanthes tenuifolia subsp. queenslandica Domin, which is the name given in the text on p. 145 – the above name being merely given on the caption to the figure. See also F.M.Bailey, Queensland Dept. Agric. Bot. Bull. 17 (1913) 6 who published the name but did not accept it stating "I cannot see how Dr Domin's two subspecies, C. shirleyana and C. queenslandica, can be distinguished from C. tenuifolia, Sw., which differs so very much from various localities." Bailey's publication predates Domin's – Bailey having access to Domin's page proofs.
