Vascular Plants
Australian Plant Name Index (APNI)
The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. For a listing of currently accepted scientific names for the Australian vascular flora, please use the Australian Plant Census (APC) link above.
Comment:Mueller attributes this name to "F. M. in Transact. Phil. Soc. Vict. i. p. 100 (adnot.)". However, while Mueller states in the earlier publication in notes under Blennodia alpestris F.Muell. that "Erysimum brevipes, curvipes and blennodes... are congeners of this plant" he does not definitely associate the genus name Blennodia with the specific epithets as required by ICN Art. 35.2 (Shenzhen Code, 2018).
