The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. For a listing of currently accepted scientific names for the Australian vascular flora, please use the Australian Plant Census (APC) link above.

Comment: Bostock & Spokes attribute this name to "(Hook. et Grev.) Bosch, Verslagen Meded. Afd. Natuurk. Kon. Akad. Wetensch. 2: 318 (1861)" [i.e. R.B. van den Bosch, Verslagen Meded. Afd. Natuurk. Kon. Akad. Wetensch. 11: 318 (1861)]. While van den Bosch lists Hymenophyllum marginatum Hook. & Grev. under his new genus Pachyloma he does not definitely associate the genus name and specific epithet as required under ICN Art. 35.2 (Shenzhen Code, 2018).
