The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. For a listing of currently accepted scientific names for the Australian vascular flora, please use the Australian Plant Census (APC) link above.

APC Comment: A name of uncertain application, listed in synonymy of Rumohra adiantiformis (G.Forst.) Ching by M.D.Tindale, Fl. New South Wales 208: 2-7 (1961). The related name Aspidium capense (L.f.) Sw. has been misapplied to Lastreopsis calantha (Endl.) Tindale and Polystichum whiteleggei Watts on NI and LHI respectively, however, Tindale’s concept of Rumohra adiantiformis is restricted to Australian mainland populations only.
