The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. For a listing of currently accepted scientific names for the Australian vascular flora, please use the Australian Plant Census (APC) link above.

Text: "In order to validate Ficus rubiginosa f. glabrescens (F.M.Bailey) D.J.Dixon in accordance with articles 32.3 and 33.3 of the International Code of Botanical Nomenclature (Greuter et al. 2000), the basionym and publication details for the Bailey name are provided." -
Comment: Although Dixon indicates that this publication was necessary to validate the name Ficus rubiginosa f. glabrescens (F.M.Bailey) D.J.Dixon, the name had been validly published at the rank of forma by D.J.Dixon et al., Austral. Syst. Bot. 14: 150-153 (2001). The second publication of the name is thus here treated as an isonym.
