The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. Comment:The name "Senecio pinnatifolius var. pinnatifolius" is listed by N.G.Walsh, Fl. Vic. 4: 948 (1999). However, this autonym did not exist until established by I.R.Thomspon, Muelleria 21(2): 40-45 (2005), in accordance with ICN Art. 26.3 (Shenzhen Code, 2018).
