The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. For a listing of currently accepted scientific names for the Australian vascular flora, please use the Australian Plant Census (APC) link above.

Comment: Gagnepain attributes this name to "Juss. in Dict. cl. Hist. nat., IV, p. 136". J.B.A.Guillemin, Dict. Class. Hist. Nat. 4: 136 (1823), repeats an opinion expressed by A.L. de Jussieu, Dict. Sci. Nat. 2nd edn, 10: (1818), that Columella pedata Lour. should be placed in the genus Cayratia. Gagnepain is the first to definitely associate the genus name with the specific epithet as required by ICN Art. 35.2 (Shenzhen Code, 2018).
