APC Comment: An American taxon, recorded (as Hydrocotyle umbellata var. bonariensis (Lam.) Spreng.) by J.H.Maiden & E.Betche, Proc. Linn. Soc. New South Wales, ser. 2, 28(4): 90 (1904), but this species is not known to occur in Australia.
