Australian Plant Name Index (APNI)
The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. For a listing of currently accepted scientific names for the Australian vascular flora, please use the Australian Plant Census (APC) link above.
Text:"(T. lineare Endl.; T. dubium Brown ex specimine in herb. Brown in Brit. Mus. servato)."
Comment:A.D.Chapman, Austral. Pl. Name Index 2905 (1991), includes Micheli's text "In aquis stagnantibus Australiae praecipue extratropicae et Tasmaniae frequens, a plerisque viatoribus collecta (Brown, Drummond n. 314, Preiss n. 2405 et 2406, Hügel, Caley, Wavra, Gunner, etc.)" as part of the type citation for this variety. However, as noted by H.I.Aston, Muelleria 8: 344-345 (1995), this text refers to Micheli's concept of Triglochin procerum as a whole.
