Vascular Plants
Australian Plant Name Index (APNI)
The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. For a listing of currently accepted scientific names for the Australian vascular flora, please use the Australian Plant Census (APC) link above.
Type:"Nova Hollandia. Swan River. Drum. coll. III n. 8."
Comment:G.Paczkowska & A.R.Chapman (eds) W. Austral. Fl.: 522 (2000) list the name "Geleznowia verrucosa subsp. verrucosa", but this autonym had not been established as no subspecific taxa had been published within Geleznowia verrucosa at the time (ICN Art. 26.3 (Shenzhen Code, 2018)).
Comment:Although a separate description is not given for the species the name is validly published by provision of a full description for the genus, which was then monotypic (descriptio generico-specifica; ICN Art. 38.5 (Melbourne Code, 2012).
