Comment: F.J.H. von Mueller, Fragm. 1: 164 (1859), states in a note under his description of Busbeckea corymbiflora F.Muell. that "Capparis Mitchelli, umbonata et loranthifolia" belong to the same genus as his newly described species. However, he does not definitely associate the genus name Busbeckea with the three specific epithets listed in the note and thus the combinations indicated are not validly published in that work (ICN Art. 35.2 (Shenzhen Code, 2018)). -
Comment: Mueller cites the place of publication of the basionym as "Lindley, in Mitchell's Three Exped. i. 315", but Capparis mitchellii Lindl. was validly published on p. 311 in the 1838 first edition of Mitchell's work. Despite this error in citation, the new combination is validly published under ICN Art. 41.3 (Shenzhen Code, 2018).
