Jackson attributes this name to "Cass. l.c." [i.e. A.H.G. de Cassini in F.Cuvier (ed.), Dict. Sci. Nat. 2nd edn, 34: 40 (1825)]. While Cassini indicates that Xeranthemum bracteatum Vent. belongs within the genus Argyrocome Gaertn. he does not definitely associate the genus name and specific epithet as required under ICN Art. 35.2 (Melbourne Code, 2012).
