  • Text: "The first and only Australian record of C. macrophylla is made here from south-east of Brisbane in Queensland... In the case of the single specimen from Queensland it could not be ascertained whether the plant occurs there naturally or whether the material was obtained from a cultivated tree."

  • Text: "Munir in Journal Adelaide Bot. Gard. 6(1): 25 (1982) reports Callicarpa macrophylla Vahl from the Bremer River. It seems likely that this is based on a specimen which is from a cultivated plant."
