Etymology:
"The granite hills and surrounds near Mt Caroline were collectively referred to as the ‘Moullean’ (alternate spelling ‘Mullean’) by the local Noongar people (Drummond 1847; Wilson 1981; Harben et al. 2008). The specific epithet recognises the restricted distribution of this species in this region, and is used here as a noun in apposition."
