  • APC Comment: The name Flemingia grandiflora Roxb. ex Rottl. is now accepted as the basionym of this name (P.Daniel, Taxon 40: 605-611 (1991)), but the citation of the date of the combination within Thunbergia varies between 1814, 1820 and 1832. Although there are different opinions and interpretations, the 1814 of Roxburgh publication is here treated as the first citation of the new combination within Thunbergia (R.M.Barker pers. comm. 2007).
