  • Text: Christensen (1937) cited a single gathering without designating a herbarium. White and Turner (1988, p. 93) cited the type of the name Culcita villosa as ‘type: New Guinea, Urunu, Vanapa Valley, 1900 m, Brass 4791 (BM; isotypes US!, GH!)’. This is here treated as effective lectotypification by White and Turner of the BM specimen, which is annotated ‘n. sp.’ presumably in Christensen’s hand, in accordance with ICN Art. 7.11 (Turland et al. 2018). "
