• Comment: Bailey refers to "F. v. M., in Austr. Journ. of Pharm. Jan. 1887" and "2nd Syst. Cens. Austr. Pl. 5." and states "I can find no description of this plant in the Journal of Australian Pharmacy above quoted.". In the first publication Mueller discusses "an anonaceous plant" collected by Armit from the Gilbert River but does not provide a name; in the second publication, the name is given without a description. Bailey validates the name by reproducing Mueller's brief diagnosis from Australas. J. Pharm. 2: 4 (1887) (reprinted in Bot. Centralbl. 30(10-11): 325 (1887)).
