• Etymology: "This species was named for Charles Christopher Harris (1844-1887), an amateur naturalist. He was borne in Maine, U.S.A., and immigrated to Australia in the 1860s. He arrived at Cooktown in 1873 or 1874, and resided there until his death. He was accidently killed while on board the sailing vessel 'Spey' on 30th April 1887, when the boom struck him on the head (M.Scully pers. comm.; National Library of Australia (2009-onwards))."
