• Comment: Clements lists the type material of this name as originating from Western Australia but Fitzgerald (1888), in renaming the species P. transversum, indicated that the plant had been collected from Mount Wilson, NSW. Clements' citation appears to be in error for Prasophyllum attenuatum Fitzg. (1882), a Western Australian species, and his "lectotypification" is thus not effective as the specimen does not represent original material of P. attenuatum Fitzg. (1885).
