• Comment: Bailey makes no reference to a replaced synonym but re-uses the species epithet of Dendrobium fusiforme, in the protologue for which he had indicated may constitute a variety of Dendrobium speciosum. He also provides a description following the varietal name. This is here treated as a replacement name at new rank rather than the name of a new taxon under ICN Art. 41.4 (Shenzhen Code, 2018).
