The exact identity of plants included under this name in Australia at present is uncertain. Rubus roribaccus may be conspecific with R. flagellaris Willd. (see K.J.Evans et al., Aust. Syst. Bot. 20: 241 (2007)). The specimen from Vic cited by K.J.Evans, op. cit. 242 is of garden origin.
