APC Comment:
Spelling of the generic name Caelebogyne has been the subject of some debate. R.K.Brummitt, pers. comm. (2008) argues for adoption of "Caelebogyne", viz: "It appears to be written as "Coelebogyne", but the 'oe' is ligatured and I think it has to be read as 'ae'. … The prefix caelebo- means 'unmarried' (as in the modern word 'celibate'), and is obviously what Smith meant because the plant produced fruits without being pollinated." The 'ae' spelling is therefore adopted here.
