"Listed as occuring in Australia by A.J.Ewart & J.R.Tovey, Proc. Roy. Soc. Victoria n.ser. 32: 190 (1920). A South African species apparently planted as a pasture grass in Victoria in the early 1900s according to A.J.Ewart, Fl. Victoria (1930), but not referred to since that time and unlikely to persist."
