orthographic variant: Coprosma petrei A.D.Chapm. orth. var.
  • APC Comment: A New Zealand taxon listed by A.D.Chapman, Austral. Pl. Name Index 789 (1991). Chapman also cites "Coprosma petriei F.Muell." published in Pap. Proc Roy. Soc. Tasmania 1891, 14 (1892), as an illegitimate name (non Cheeseman (1886)). However, this is a secondary reference only, and Mueller makes no attempt to publish this name. The taxon Mueller discusses was subsequently described as Coprosma moorei F.Muell. ex Rodway.
