  • Comment: Reference to the basionym is indirect, via citation of Ptilotus psilotrichoides F.Muell., nom. illeg. Although G.Benl., Mitt. Bot. Staatssamml. Munch. 7: 1 (1970) indicated that the combination was not validly made until 1933, Gardner's combination is here regarded as validly published under ICN Art. 41.3 (Melbourne Code, 2012).
