[Fraser, C. in Hooker, W.J. (ed.) (1830), Journal of a two months residence on the banks of the rivers Brisbane and Logan, on the east coast of New Holland. Botanical Miscellany 1]:
240, adnot.
[tax. nov.]
-
Type:
"The plant is found parasitic on all descriptions of trees in the forests on the banks of the rivers Brisbane and Hastings, the latter (in lat. 31˚ 20" South) being its extreme southern range."
-
The description for this species is contained in a footnote in Fraser's paper, which is unsigned but clearly provided by W.J.Hooker, the editor of the journal. Since the descriptive text in this note is partially from a verbatim quote from a letter by Fraser, with additional information added by Hooker, both Fraser and Hooker are credited here as authors of the name of the new taxon.
