Orchidaceae Juss.
Microtis porrifolia R.Br. ex Spreng. , nom. illeg., nom. superfl., scientific
Sprengel, C.P.J. (1826), Systema Vegetabilium Edn. 17, 3: 713 BHL [nom. nov.]
replaced synonym: Epipactis porrifolia Sw. nom. illeg., nom. superfl. taxonomic synonym: Ophrys unifolia G.Forst. legitimate
  • Comment: The name “Microtis porrifolia (Sw.) Sprengel var. porrifolia” is listed by A.D.Chapman, Austral. Pl. Name Index 2006 (1991), but since the species name is illegitimate this autonym is not established, in accordance with ICN Art. 27.2 (Shenzhen Code, 2018).
  • Comment: Sprengel attributes the name to "R. Br.". R.Brown, Prodr. 320 (1810), indicates in a note that Epipactis porrifolia Sw. (and the synonymous Ophrys unifolia Forst.) should be placed in Microtis but does not definitely associate the genus name with either of the species epithets as required under ICN Art. 35.2 (Shenzhen Code, 2018).
