APC Comment:
An American taxon, now treated as Mimosa aculeaticarpa Ortega. Listed by M.C.Goode, Ann. Rep. N. Terr. 17 (1926), and S.T.Blake, Austral. J. Bot. 2(1): 114 (1954), as a weed in Darwin, but not known to occur in Australia. Possibly a misapplication to Mimosa pigra L. according to I.L.Miller & W.M.Lonsdale, Pl. Protection Quarterly 2(3): 140–142. (1987).
