Text:
"Colla's plant was grown from seed received from Schultes in 1825 as A. compressa; the original seed is said to have been collected in Australia by Barron Field. A sheet at TO, annotated A. visneoides by Colla, is labelled as having originated from Hortus Ripulensis in 1828. This collection comprises very fragmentary foliar material and, although not a type, may well have been taken from the type plant. It is not possible to determine with certainty the taxon to which this material refers other than to say it is a member of section Phyllodineae (possibly near A. rubida)."
