Etymology:
"Keraudrenia was named after the French naval physician and naturalist Pierre Francois Keraudren (1769–1858), who authored numerous works on the diseases of seamen (Gay 1821). It was named from a specimen of K. hermanniifolia collected in 1818 from Shark Bay by Gaudichaud who was the botanist during the Frenchman Freycinet’s Expedition (Gay 1821)."
