• Comment: Adams's citation of the place of publication of the basionym as "Dendrobium phalaenopsis Fitzg. var. schroederianum Hort. ex W.Watson, Gard. & Forest 4: 521 (1891)" is an error to be corrected under ICN Art. 41.8(a) (Shenzhen Code, 2018). Dendrobium phalaenopsis var. schroderianum Sander was first published via a brief description in a sale announcement in the Gardener's Chronicle on 10 Oct. 1891, with the name appearing in Gard. & Forest 4: 521 (4 Nov. 1891) being a secondary reference.
