Mueller, F.J.H. von & Tate, R. (June 1896), Botany. Phanerogams and Vascular Cryptogams. Transactions, proceedings and report, Royal Society of South Australia 16(3): 362 [tax. nov.]
  • Type: "Near Fraser's Range at Camp 71."
  • Comment: D.J.McGillivray & R.O.Makinson, Grevillea, Proteaceae: a taxonomic revision 435 (1993) and R.O.Makinson in A.J.G.Wilson (ed.), Fl. Australia 17A: 168 (2000), attribute this name to R.Helms, Trans. Proc. Roy. Soc. S. Australia 16: 325 (1895). Helms lists the name in an article on the anthropology of the Elder expedition on which the first specimens were collected. As Mueller & Tate published the name with a full description and type information in the same volume of the Transactions their publication has equal priority and is here treated as the protologue.
