  • Comment: A.D.Chapman, Austral. Pl. Name Index 1656 (1991), erroneously gives this work as the place of publication of "Indigofera argentea var. caerulea Bailey... nom. illeg.". While Bailey does not attribute authorship of the varietal name to Baker, on p. 387 he cites Baker's treatment of Indigofera argentea in Fl. Brit. Ind. and on p. 388 largely repeats the original description of the variety provided by Baker in that work. This is here treated as a secondary reference by Bailey to the name previously published by Baker, rather than as the publication of the name of a new taxon by Bailey.
