Cowan, R.S. in Orchard, A.E. & Wilson, A.J.G. (ed.) (2001), Doubtful Names. Flora of Australia 11B: 440 [secondary reference]
  • Text: "Without seeing the type collection I cannot determine with certainty the taxon to which this name should be applied. As the Dawson and Burnett Rivers are in Qld it is not likely that it is synonymous with Acacia latescens (endemic in N.T.) as implied by G.Bentham in an editorial footnote to the protologue. The expression ‘var. dubia’, which appears in the protologue is here regarded as a note added by Bentham to indicate the uncertain status of the entity proposed by Mueller; it is not considered to have any nomenclatural significance."

  • APC Comment: A name of uncertain application.
