Etymology:
"The epithet honours the late Herbert Bennett Williamson (1860-1931), a botanist in the Victorian Education Department who for many years made the genus Pultenaea his particular study, who published many novelties (including 14 new species) thereunder and who first discovered P. williamsoniana."
